With our unique combination of novel research, innovative product development, and comprehensive technical support, Dexter Chemical has become a preferred supplier of surfactants and other additives to a broad range of industries.

Founded in 1945, Dexter Chemical pioneered the use of phosphate ester surfactants more than 40 years ago. Since that time, we have applied the many advantages of this technology to the paint & coatings, textile & garment wet processing, and emulsion polymerization industries. Dexter products have also found application in printing inks, agricultural chemicals and cleaning products, as well as the metalworking industry.

Our product lines and our manufacturing & support capabilities have continued to grow over the years in response to our customers' evolving needs. Our New York headquarters and our Charlotte facility (pictured above) were both updated recently to increase capacity. In addition, we've hired additional sales and technical personnel with the expertise required to meet the needs of our expanding customer base.

These upgrades have helped us expand into new industry segments as well as new geographic markets such as Europe, South America and Southeast Asia. Of course, we also continue to provide our existing North American customers with the innovative products and reliable support they've come to expect from us.

Dexter Chemical has achieved ISO 9001 certification, and both of our facilities operate with a strong sense of environmental responsibility.
